{"id":16,"date":"2010-05-02T21:41:25","date_gmt":"2010-05-02T21:41:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/it-blog.timk.de\/index.php\/check-point-securemotesecureclient-on-microsoft-windows-7"},"modified":"2010-05-02T21:41:25","modified_gmt":"2010-05-02T21:41:25","slug":"check-point-securemotesecureclient-on-microsoft-windows-7","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.timk.de\/it-blog\/check-point-securemotesecureclient-on-microsoft-windows-7\/","title":{"rendered":"Problems with Check Point SecuRemote\/SecureClient on Microsoft Windows 7"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>At the site <a href=\"https:\/\/supportcontent.checkpoint.com\/solutions?id=sk43446\">&#8220;Check Point products support for Windows 7 [sk43446]&#8221;<\/a> is written that &#8220;VPN-1 SecuRemote\/SecureClient NGX R60 HFA 03&#8221; support Mircosoft Windows 7 (only 32-Bit).<\/p>\n<p>But I made bad experiences with working SecuRemote\/SecureClient on Windows 7 (over 30 Windows 7 Clients), so that i can not recommend to use SecuRemote\/SecureClient on Windows 7.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some of the problems:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Not every Cell-Phone-Driver is working right (for example: unable to use UMTS with newest DELL Cell-Phone-Drivers for VPN)<\/li>\n<li>Unable to upload files greater 70kb via http-put (for example: Upload to typo3)<\/li>\n<li>Connection-Fails or -Interruption on Terminal-Server-Sessions (RDP) in local LAN, when VPN is not running<\/li>\n<li>Windows 7 is not working fast and stable (for example: unable or slow login)<\/li>\n<li>&#8230;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>After a few week searching for a network-error and a call at the Microsoft Support &#8211; they did a very good job &#8211; , we disabled the SecuRemote-Binding on the LAN-Interface, disabled the SecuRemote-Kernel-Driver and all problems have gone. <\/p>\n<p>To solve the problem total we deinstalled SecuRemote\/SecureClient on every notebook and installed the new <a href=\"https:\/\/supportcontent.checkpoint.com\/file_download?id=10653\">Check Point Endpoint Connect R73 (works on 32-Bit &#038; 64-Bit)<\/a>.
